Rome’s opera music festival is privileged with its unique setting in the ruins of the ancient Baths of Caracalla. It was the year 1937 when the Teatro dell'Opera set up its summer season at the Caracalla Baths for the first time: as the monumental archeological site becomes a stage. There have always been performances of lyrics and dance that have been most known for charming a large international public. This year’s programme will incluse operas composed by Mendelssohn, Puccini and Bizet.
